Last week was the first annual Waldrip Cousins Camping trip (WCCT). Our desitnation Hershey Pennsylvania. Not to disillusion anyone with ideas of roughing it, this was car camping in air conditioned cabins. I don't think the cabin i shared with Scott and Randy ever went above 60 degrees, Which still seemed a bit warm in my 20 degree sleeping bag. We arrived Sunday and Left Friday morning, After spending a day at Hershey Park, went caving with out overly relaxed tour guide Justin ![]()
ending with a 40 mile bike ride, an all night bonding experience with Randy and Christa

(the under 30 and non parent crowd), half a day recovering from said all night bonding experience/time in Amish country for the rest of the group, and a Day At the Hersey Garden, Zoo, and Museum.
Randy and I took the Lebanon Valley Rail Trail and the Conewego Recreation Trail from Rt 230 in Elizabeth town to Lebanon. The Conewego portion of the trail was like glass and had just been graded with a fine powdery gravel on the top. The Conewego portion of the trail is mostly flat, then building over a steady incline over the Lebanon RT portion, which turns into an even steady decent into Cornwall. Near the end it turned in more of an off road adventure as the trail from smooth graded gravel to an off road adventure. as we reached the end of the trail where the Portion from Cornwall to Lebanon is still under construction. Literally in places the old railroad ties and tracks had just been ripped out and where still lying on the sides of the road. On the Way back Randy got a flat and needed to change a tube. Overall we made the entire 37 mile trip in about 4 and a half hours. Next time I'm in the area I would like to do the Sony Valley Rail trail which I hear goes through some remote terrain and even features a ghost town, and old railroad tunnels.
